A taxi driver with Greg’s Taxi Service tested positive for Covid-19.
Lambton Public Health is asking that anyone who used the taxi company’s services March 11 from 5:00am to 5:00pm and/or March 12 from 7:30am to 5:30pm and whose trip was greater than 15 minutes call Lambton Public Health immediately.
In a news release health officials said they are working with the taxi company and all efforts are being made to determine who might be at risk but not all information is available.
“It is difficult to trace this person’s close contacts because of the nature of the taxi-cab industry, and we know that this taxi driver would have been in a confined space with members of the public while operating the taxi,” said Lori Lucas, Supervisor of Health Protection. “These reasons make it imperative that we release these details to the public, so that we can speak with anyone who used this service and give them the best guidance possible.”
Anyone who travelled during those dates are asked to call Lambton Public Health at 519-383-8331 or 1-800-667-1839
