As of 12:01 a.m. on December 26, the Municipality of Lambton Shores will join the rest of Ontario in a province-wide shutdown. Please visit the Lambton Shores website to stay up to date on how these changes will impact municipal services.
As we enter the holiday season, I ask you to please follow the guidance of Lambton Public Health to help control the spread of COVID-19. Although the restrictions officially come into effect on Boxing Day, I ask that you take action today. The holidays will look different, but let’s hope that our actions and sacrifices made today will help bring us back to normal sooner.
There is no doubt, the COVID-19 cases in Lambton are increasing. We all have a personal responsibility to help protect those most vulnerable in our community.
During the shutdown, we will once again see the closure of all non-essential businesses. Please continue to support local in any way that you can. Order takeout, purchase gift cards or shop online for curbside pickup. We are all in this together.
With so much out of our control, we can control our own actions. Choose to be kind.
Have a safe holiday, be well and remain positive.
From the Mayor
